There is something incredibly gratifying in watching a series hot off the broadcast, so to speak, instead of years after it's over. So it is in this short blurb that I shall confess my love for Torchwood: Children Of Earth (trailers here and here). Watch it! Watch it! And if you don't know Torchwood, watch the rest of it first! XD

The first two seasons weren't very spectacular - it often seemed the series didn't know what to do with itself. But no more. I strongly assume it's thanks to Russell T Davies' writing and Euros Lyn's directing that this third (mini) season turned out so well. I've been vaguely wondering about how much they had to pay to get prime-time slots for every day of this week. 8D

Children Of Earth. Moral issues, woobiness, aliens attacking, gun-totin' action, a touch of mystery, a bed of potatoes - you name it, they've got it. ♥ And the final episode airs tonight! :O *can't wait* Now, if I could only get my annoying relatives to leave a few days early, we could watch it in peace. XD

I'm officially done with school! Got my final grade of 1,8 (on a scale of 0,6 [nearly impossible] to 4,0 [lowest of the low]) last week. :> Now I just need to send applications to a few unis... I went and had a look at U. Düsseldorf, where I've been hoping to end up because of their good reputation for Japanese, and it is hella ugly. I'm rethinking that one. 8D

I finally got around to sewing a bag out of the wonderful wizard material (caution - crappy phone camera image quality - but had I mentioned I love my phone?) I found a few weeks ago at a material fair. How could one lay eyes on these wonderful creatures and not be instantly taken with them? ♥ I'm actually kind of proud of how it turned out, seeing as it's the first thing I've ever made using a sewing machine. :>



It turned out a little shorter than I'd intended, but it's still very usable. I forgot to sew any kind of fastener on it, though, so it isn't too safe. Maybe I'll add a snapper or something. 8D


My cat scratched the side of my wrist yesterday; the scratch itself is tiny, but I think she hit a nerve or something. Is that even possible? The whole side of my wrist/hand/lower forearm has been aching since this morning. Look at me, incapacitated by a cat.

But I'm afraid I missed it by 49 minutes. Well, shucky darn. 8D

I even drew him a birthday doodle, something I haven't done in what seems like ages. I do believe it's the first time I've drawn him alone. Well, technically alone.

I've had that idea ever since I saw him brutally murder one in the anime. 8D Wow. Remember back then - the first time Rikkai showed up, and Sanada still seemed cool? Yeah. Weird, isn't it.


Switching to a completely different subject, I had my final!oral maths exam yesterday. I managed a cool 10 of 15 points total, even though I thought I was more around 12 or 13. Sigh. I get my other results on June 10th, so until then, I will do absolutely nothing. ♥

• bad: watched the end of Season 2 of new!Dr Who. That was the most freaking sad thing I've watched in a while. I'm not warming up to Martha yet. The Doctor seems so sad. T_T ILU David Tennant I need a tenth!Doctor icon. Anyone got a nice one for me? :D

• good: exams are over soon. Kane-chan is staying as Sanada. DL6 just started. DL6 = the very first Myu that contains Atobe and Sanada. I'd say I'm shallow, but being a Tenimyu fan is the epitome of being shallow. So. XD

And that was Girara. May I also add that Canadian!guy sounded Italian, British!guy was American, German!lady made me laugh so, so hard because she was all, "Yes! I am acting!", and French!guy was picked because he looks a tiny, tiny bit like Sarkozy and was dubbed extremely badly. He had a fling with one of the simultaneous translator girls and her French was wtf I don't understand a word. Oh, Japan. ♥

I can't find my iPod. ;-; Baba~ where are you~? T^T

I was loading it up yesterday and then took it with me up to my room, and somewhere during that process it got lost. I remember taking the headphones out of my pocket and remembering that I didn't put them back in the 'pod after taking it out of its dock. But I'm fairly sure I had it on me somewhere.
I've been looking for nearly an hour. Halp. T_T


Maybe my cat ate it.

I think I'm getting into a steady one-post-a-month rhythm here. 8D So, let's see, what wonderful things are there to report? ♥

A. NO MORE SCHOOL. Ever. ♥ Friday was my last day of school, and as is usual for 13th graders (the thirteen-year school system is being ousted as I type >_<) over here, we went out with a blast, starting by absolutely drenching all the little kids between classes and ending by giving everyone a bang-up farewell show in the auditorium. I had a few teachers come on stage for a wonderful karaoke session. ♥
So now all that's left are my three written exams (English, French, History in French) and one oral (math). I really don't feel like studying. xD
The week leading up to our last day was fun, too - every day we all got dressed up according to a different theme, and Tuesday was by far my favorite: emo day. And of course emo day called for emo photos. :D

B. While I'm on the emo topic - I watched Twilight on Saturday. I lol'd my way through and was fairly disappointed even though I didn't have very high expectations - I was actually hoping Kristen Stewart would be, you know, a capable actress. But I was impressed by rpattz' successful accent. Otherwise, nobody seemed able to enunciate properly. My favorite part of the whole thing was this little scene:

Billy: ... also, Jacob was getting annoying about seeing Bella again.
Jacob: Oh thanks, Dad.
Billy: Just keepin' it real, son.

I don't know why, but it cracked me up. XD And the sparkles looked like cheap glitter powder. *sighs* So sad, so sad.

C. I'd like to wish a happy belated birthday to everyone who turned a year older this last month: Happy Birthday to ensein, shinobee, tokyocentricity, doumyoujitsukas and miraizu. ♥ And to myself. XD I got a phone! It's so pretty. :DDD

I think I'll go photoshop the hell out of one of my many emo photos. It's so much fun. 8D
