I think that was the sparkliest, crackiest, funniest, most amazing thing I've seen in my life. It blew my brains out.

But first!

I bought a fancy new pen yesterday.

It's actually a 4GB USB stick! :3 I showed it around today and everyone was impressed. 8D *is shallow* I've wanted to get a USB stick AND a fancy pen for some time now. I love it already. ♥ And because I give all my electronic devices names, I shall call it Mr. Nakagauchi, to go with Baba, my iPod. ♥

Oh, Tenimyu. What would I be without you. ♥ ♥

Soooo.
I don't know where to start. I regret having watched it a lot later than I could have, but as I mentioned previously, WoW is kind of eating my time. I should really do something about that, seeing as I'm back in school 'n all. 8D
ANYWAYS. On Sunday I downloaded it, carted it over to my old, decrepit PC to put together (damn you, HJsplit! *shakes fist*) and sadly couldn't transfer it back to my Mac because I was using my sister's 1GB sticky, which didn't *quite* hold it. A situation which has been remedied. ♥ So I watched it (with my sister) with tinny USB speakers on the PC. AND IT STILL KILLED ME.
No Myu in history has ever rendered me so incoherent. Really. Not even DL3, and that's saying something. o_O My personal favorite bits were these (watch as my coherence dwindles):

<strike>• Every single damn second of it</strike>
• Dai-chan flying - I really hope he got paid more for that or something! Seriously, 30 feet high and one measly strap to hold him in? O_O
• Yes, I have! No, I haven't!
• Yagami BITING HIS LIP WHILE REACHING FOR KANE-CHAN
• LUKE IN THE PURPLE HAMMOCK wearing chucks/converse/all stars/whatever you prefer to call them
• Renn doing the "FAIYAAA! Eeeexcellent~" for Jutta <3
• Rainbow lights at their absolute gayest
• THEY HAD FREAKIN' FLAMES! Like, in Aoku Moeru Honoo and was it Fuurinkazan?
• Everyone and his brother getting to stylishly sashay down the catwalk
• IREI GOT A SOLO
• IREI SOUNDED LIKE KERMIT
• Kane-chan stretching
• Finally more of Hirata! HOTTTTT.
• Had I mentioned I love Shougo?
• THE PIRATES sahaksfdkjshd HAYASHINO I LOVE YOU. HIJIRI YOU ARE SO CUTE. LUKE YOU ARE ASFASDHADFGHADFHADFHDFAHDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
• THE PIMPS. Seriously. That was my absolute favorite. So amazing. The hats. The boa. The scarves. The necklaces. The jackets. THE GLASSES. Is it just me or do orange-tinted glasses look great with Niou's hair color?
Also, their dance was REALLY COOL. Like, DL3-Ruirui-Takuya-dance-like cool. One of the coolest dances I've seen in Tenimyu.
What are other really cool Tenimyu dances? I mean, not dorky, but just really WOW?
• The Regulars, Aoku Moeru Honoo, Ore wa Mamushi, Juuden Kanryou, Golden Pair... did I miss anything? The Myu!oldies, anyways.
• TOMO ROCKING THAT MAMUSHI DANCE.
• TOMO STARTING TO CRY AND THE FIVE-MINUTE CLOSE UP OF HIS FACE safhjdsgfasjhgf
• TOMO
• The 20s feathered headbands and matching bows - Renn's was gold! 8D
• Sorry Saitou, you still can't dance
• MAMO
• I think Juri's hair was five times bigger than in YamabukiMyu
• ERIITO JA NAI!
• SHOUGOOOO
• FURUKAWAAAAA
• Those flowers were EATING UP their chests
• The opening dance
• Matsuzaki's shark
• we r pastede on!Higa
• HIGA
• SANAYUKI LOVE (it's in the Myus. It's undeniably in the Myus.)
• GENKI. GENKI DOING ANYTHING.
• Ogasawara's handful of glitter
• Ogasawara's marriage proposal (+glitter) to Furukawa
• Yagami's way of wearing his jacket so it makes it look like he has no arms. Consequently, his last line in Kimi o Shinjiteru has been changed from dakara ore wa~ iku yo~ to but life's okay~ without my arms~ by me and my sister.

And much, much more.
I want one of Higa's pirate flags to hang over my bed.
I want Baba and Masa to have more let's-grab-each-other dances.

All in all, ♥ ♥ ♥, so I suppose it's a mission accomplished for Ueshima & friends. :DDD

Thanks to not-so-endless nagging and a lucky coincidence of temporary idealess-ness, my wonderful sister omelton wrote a little Tango Pair ficlet for me. ♥ Inspired by Bill Bailey, I gave her the prompt "off-shore wind farms".

So, without further ado, I present to you Off-shore Wind Farms (G).

The summer has been long and stifling, but not long enough for his tastes. Soon he must trade in his few leisure hours between practice and private exam prep for the stricter regimen of the autumn semester, and though it is his creed to make everything look effortless, he knows it will be hard work. Hard balancing the required academic excellence with his passion for tennis, hard representing his family socially when his parents again leave the country on short notice, hard to find time to breathe away from the knotwork of duties and obligations he has been raised into.
The sole heir to the Atobe fortune sits on a slab of rock festooned with carbuncles, his feet trailing in the sand, his hand resting on a slightly larger palm than his own. He glances aside to see his companion looking dourly at the horizon, straight black hair blown in and out of his eyes as the wind sees fit.
“An hour until sundown,” Atobe says, locating the sun, pendulous and orange to the west. Sanada brushes his hair back with one hand, the other tightens its grip on Atobe’s. His gaze is still fixed far ahead, past the dotting of tiny pale sails, on the wheeling shapes that hang high above the bay.
“I want to see you in the autumn,” he says, his voice quiet and clear, and Atobe wishes he would turn his head, not sit like a hewn statue with his hair the only unsettled thing.
“I will arrange a time.” Atobe’s thoughts briefly touch on afternoons away on a pretense of club matters, weekends in town avoiding business luncheons. He doesn’t trust any of the family drivers; he will have to consider other transportation.
“I want to see you often.” Sanada is looking at him now, his eyes far too earnest and fragile. Atobe closes the space between them, blocks out this mirror of Sanada’s vulnerability in a close press of lips.
The heat is broken by a bitter breeze slewing in from the sea.

Gah. *melts* ♥
omelton usually writes The Daily Show/The Colbert Report RPS, so if anyone feels like checking out more of her stuff, it can be found at fakenews_fanart, fakenews_fanfic or her journal. :3 *pimps*

You know, Tenipuri eats my brain, heart and soul, but WoW has a nagging tendency to eat my life. :/ I haven't checked my mail since Saturday. WTFFF.

This is Anita, my level almost!30 blood elf rogue. :> I've made a few other characters, but I play her most.

But enough of this! I shall get to the point: DL5 soundtrack. ♥ Oretachi no Aikotoba made me melt, especially the part in harmony near the end. ♥ ♥ ♥ It's great that they revisited "old" songs from First Cast times. ♥ Makes me notice, though, that now!Tenimyu seems like a completely different thing than then!Tenimyu. Am I alone on this?

And I really, really, reeaally like Shougo as Ryoma. He really has the bitchy-little-snob thing DOWN. Also, Watanabe is so into whatever it is he's doing. He is quite possibly my favorite Tez so far. ♥ Shirota will always have a special place in my heart, but I didn't really get a Tezuka impression from him. Or his hair, for that matter. *is shot 8D*
I can't wait for his and Luke's (have I mentioned how much I love Luke? No?? Well, let it be known. ♥) CDs. Or for the DL5 DVD. Or for Hyouteimyu, because I'm all giddy now after having read tayles' report. (All I've seen of Kubota was his little PV, and I'm still wary. But I know already that I won't like Inoue.)

Annnd I guess that's all. How are you all doing? ZOMG. :OOO Which means I get to go to Lübeck (310 km/192 miles away) in November to stand in front of three or more people who are all way smarter than me and tell them about Japanese theater AND speak Japanese.
Oh god. *dies*

• After September only Date will be missing from Hyoutei. :( I miss you already, Date. So much that I called Namikawa Date, even though I actually wanted to say Ootori.
And Aiba's coming back. o_o" I don't quite know how to react.

• Spain beat Germany 1-0. Darn. Not that I was especially interested, but y'know, Germany and all. But my dad bet on Spain (at work), so he'll get, like, 5€ for it. Wow. 8D

• I had a weird dream in which I was a reporter at a concert by some J-Rock band. While they were letting people into the arena, there was a cheesy song by some boy band being played. I only remember the line "Haato wa Burning sun~". Lol. It's a very moving story about a teacher's dedication to her students. :3 I've been looking for the OST because I really like the music, but can't find it. :/ It stars Horikita Maki, who I really liked in Nobuta o Produce, Hongo Kanata (♥ he's so cute), Shiina Kippei (anyone seen Antique Cake Store?) annnd Shirota in a bit part as a crrrazy PE teacher. x3
Eh, I suck at writing synopses, but anyways, I highly recommend this series. Sadly, crunchyroll only has up to ep. 7, and I could only find torrents for the rest, so the last three episodes are taking their time to download. But it's worth it. :D

T_T

I have no idea as to what this means for the Hyoutei cast. I have the distinct feeling I'll be checking the official Myu site every few minutes for the next couple of days. Because. SDKFJLASGDG;sdfHHG. Okay. Okay. So. If they get a completely new Hyoutei cast, I assume I'll be crushed for a while. ;_;
And. Well. *incoherent*

Let me try to sort out my thoughts. 8D

I watched DL4 a few days ago with my sister. I really like DL4, because Rikkai's segment is hilarious and Rokkaku kicks ass, as usual, and, well, shiny, sparkly, all that stuff. But every time I watch it, I get kind of depressed after the Hyoutei segment. |D Come on, they didn't even get their own song! Yeah, so they had a whole DL pretty much to themselves, and they're short their two most representative members (grrr), but still.
Hm. I think my problem is that Hyoutei is just amazingly overrated in my head. *tries to formulate thoughts*
While watching, especially after Kazuki's and Saitou's little videos (Am I the only one that always cracks up when video!Saitou asks "Katsun wa~?" and then the audience says "Hyoutei~!" and then video!Saitou waits like 10 seconds before nodding? XD), I noticed that I've begun to stop associating Kazuki with Myus. Partly because I've been following his career aside from them, partly because (obviously) he hasn't been around in them for some time - one and a half years are a long time in Myu!verse. XD
Anyway. I have no idea if my point is getting across. XD
BUT.
Then I saw the post that I linked to above, and I'm honestly kind of disappointed at the rate they're churning out new casts now. I realize the fifth cast is probably only for the overseas performances, but I don't know how it'll go on after Hyouteimyu II.
I think to myself, I've barely gotten to know the newest cast! o_o Of course I'm a few thousand kilometers (miles, whatevs) away from the Myu Central and thus my information is kind of delayed, but there must be some reason why I think the first and second and probably still third Seigaku cast will stay more memorable to me. Yeah, yeah, this is all hypothetical, and I know that Tenimyu is a Shiny Superficial Entertainment Industry Manifestation Extraodinaire, but it still never fails to make my day. T_T Somehow I'm getting the feeling that the golden age of Tenimyu has passed already.

Enough angsting! WTF, I'm confusing myself. @_@

My point: I will really miss Hyoutei (especially Kazuki) if they're replaced by a new cast. And I'll be sad when there aren't any Myus at all anymore.
And I'm still secretly hoping for a Senbatsumyu with lots of Tango!scenes. 8D

Guh. I'm tired, I should go to bed and figure out what I mean.
sdfjaksdfg OMG I JUST GOT UP AND I HAD THE MOST HORRIBLE DREAM.

So Higamyu was out, and I was all happy and squee-y about it and then I watched it and ARGH. The cast of Seigaku was completely different, except for Daisuke and Tomo/Hirata - Fuji and Ryoma were played by girls, the rest I don't remember.

Hyoutei was there, too, also with a cast change - a girl as Gakuto, a weird tiny (and I mean *tiny*) fat guy as Shishido, and some dudes as Ootori and Oshitari. I think Kawai and Wasshi were in the audience for some reason, and I don't know about Kazuki.

Anyways, except for the real cast members there, everyone was hideous. Shishido looked like a tiny, fat weasel, and Gakuto's hair was all greasy and way too long and too pink, and the lady had a face like a horse. Oshitari was wearing clothes way too small for him and was just plain ugly.
Ryoma's hair was long and the girl (I think she was thirteen) wasn't wearing a cap or anything, and Fuji had short brown hair, but in a ponytail and with millions of clips and glittery things in it.

Oh god, Hyoutei was so ugly. Wasshi and Kawai were probably posing as audience members because they were too embarrassed to be part of the same cast as those douchebags. XD There was even a bit backstage where Ootori and Shishido were wearing PJs and sleeping on the same bed; and it would've been cute if Ootori hadn't been five times taller than Shishido. I mean, Shishido was so small he fit on the small bit of bed up over/next to Ootori's head.

WTF.

Then Seigaku all gathered on a little platform in the middle of the stage, and Hirata had brown hair and was wearing glasses and started saying "Yudan sezu ni ikou" until Daisuke stole his glasses. I think they were Hirata's own. That might've been the most normal part about the whole dream. XD

Higa showed up at one point, too. They were all still the same. I think Luke whispered something in Daisuke's ear, and then they all left. They did a kind of crab-walk (like in *all* their dances XD) on their way out. :P

But then it went on to Daisuke getting into a kind of round cage that he "flew" with. So he was up there, at *least* fifty feet high, in a cage, singing "Hyakuren jitoku no kiwami", and then Fuji, Ryoma and Gakuto came up, too, and were supposed to do some kind of percussion against the cage walls with their rackets, but they kept getting it wrong, and Daisuke had to correct them. It would've been funny if everything else they'd done hadn't been horrible and off-key, too - none of them could sing or dance or act or anything. They were all just a bunch of extremely arrogant assholes that I was very disappointed in.
Especially Shishido.
God, I hated his guts. xD

So I woke up and was all "ò_Ó arjkgdhjfWAHT" until I remembered that yes, Shougo is a boy and yes, Hyoutei actually is very well cast (although that remains to be seen for the next myu T^T) and OH THANK GOD IT WAS JUST A DREAM.

XD

What a giant WTF.

LOL. XD
We also watched snippets of Kazuki's 2007 show today, since we didn't want to go through the pain of watching the whole thing again - because honestly, am I the only one that thinks he was pretty much pooped after the first two numbers? He might want to take into consideration that he hits the high notes better when he's not jumping around like a total spaz while singing. |D Oh, Kazuki.
Haven't posted in ages! :O But now I bring this, inspired by a real place I had cake at on Monday. :D It's very short, as usual - 505 words. And, yes, of course it's Tango Pair. :3
Enjoy? :D"

Coffeedrinker

He sits at a small table at a nice, comfortably bustling café. Every Monday, every new start of the week is marked for the nice ladies behind the counter by his silent consumption of one cup of coffee, no milk, no sugar.

It's a funny thing, an elderly woman, veteran of the job, thinks - to be able to know so much about a young man from how he drinks his coffee, yet not even know his name.

Today he sits, calmly sipping his chat noir, and watches with mute interest as the pastry chef assembles various baked goods behind his glass partition: Four speedy, controlled flicks of his wrist and four small, immaculate blobs of extra-stiff cream, on each of which he places two red half-circles to complete his image of a cookie-and-marzipan ladybug.
Four flicks of the wrist a ladybug, fourteen ladybugs a tray, and, as far as the chef's calm observer can tell, eighteen trays a rack. After which the rack is wheeled out of sight, the cream in the pastry bag replenished, and a new rack of yet imperfect bugs is brought in.
Two hundred and twelve little cookies, waiting for eight hundred and forty-eight little spots of cream.

The pastry chef misses one of them because he's talking to a man bringing out the trash.
The coffee drinker smiles imperceptibly, sets down his empty cup, picks up his scarf and wraps it around his neck, and walks out the glass doors, just when a tray is set back on its rack and another is slid out to take its place.

He makes his way across the cobbled square, towards the subway station.

" – sky sure looks gray today –," a businessman walking past in the opposite direction is saying into his phone.

Two schoolgirls giggle at each other, enjoying mounds of ice cream even though it's drizzling.

"They really should make the stairs wider. I hate having to fight my way through..."

"So I told him that it wasn't going to happen again and that he should take his damn demands and shove them – "

He quickens his step towards the station entrance, but instead of joining the thronging masses headed down, he stops just to the right of the top of the stairs, where a young man is leaning against the low wall, looking up at the sky.

"Sorry for making you wait. Especially in this weather."

The extraordinarily good-looking man shifts his gaze downward from the gray clouds, smiles an extraordinarily beautiful smile, and steps forward to intertwine their fingers.

"How was your coffee? I let them know exactly how you drink it, I hope they made it strong today," Atobe says.

Sanada raises an eyebrow. "I should've known. It was good, thank you."

Atobe smiles, satisfied.

"You should stop by with me someday," Sanada says. "They might give two patrons on a date a discount."

Inside the café, the pastry chef has moved on to decorating the ladybugs' wings with nine little white spots of cream apiece.
