Children Of Earth, or Pimpin', Yo

There is something incredibly gratifying in watching a series hot off the broadcast, so to speak, instead of years after it's over. So it is in this short blurb that I shall confess my love for Torchwood: Children Of Earth (trailers here and here). Watch it! Watch it! <strike>And if you don't know Torchwood, watch the rest of it first! XD</strike>

The first two seasons weren't very spectacular - it often seemed the series didn't know what to do with itself. But no more. I strongly assume it's thanks to Russell T Davies' writing and Euros Lyn's directing that this third (mini) season turned out so well. I've been vaguely wondering about how much they had to pay to get prime-time slots for every day of this week. 8D

Anyways!

♥ ♥ ♥

Children Of Earth. Moral issues, woobiness, aliens attacking, gun-totin' action, a touch of mystery, a bed of potatoes - you name it, they've got it. ♥ And the final episode airs tonight! :O *can't wait* Now, if I could only get my annoying relatives to leave a few days early, we could watch it in peace. XD

Seriously? Tenimyu actors in Paris?

I could actually go there. Holy shit. ♥

I'm officially done with school! Got my final grade of 1,8 (on a scale of 0,6 [nearly impossible] to 4,0 [lowest of the low]) last week. :> Now I just need to send applications to a few unis... I went and had a look at U. Düsseldorf, where I've been hoping to end up because of their good reputation for Japanese, and it is hella ugly. I'm rethinking that one. 8D

Wizards!

I finally got around to sewing a bag out of the wonderful wizard material (caution - crappy phone camera image quality - but had I mentioned I love my phone?) I found a few weeks ago at a material fair. How could one lay eyes on these wonderful creatures and not be instantly taken with them? ♥ I'm actually kind of proud of how it turned out, seeing as it's the first thing I've ever made using a sewing machine. :>

It turned out a little shorter than I'd intended, but it's still very usable. I forgot to sew any kind of fastener on it, though, so it isn't too safe. Maybe I'll add a snapper or something. 8D

My cat scratched the side of my wrist yesterday; the scratch itself is tiny, but I think she hit a nerve or something. Is that even possible? The whole side of my wrist/hand/lower forearm has been aching since this morning. Look at me, incapacitated by a cat.

I think it's still his birthday somewhere

But I'm afraid I missed it by 49 minutes. Well, shucky darn. 8D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANADA!!!

I even drew him a birthday doodle, something I haven't done in what seems like ages. I do believe it's the first time I've drawn him alone. Well, technically alone.

Clearly my layout hates this.

I've had that idea ever since I saw him brutally murder one in the anime. 8D Wow. Remember back then - the first time Rikkai showed up, and Sanada still seemed cool? Yeah. Weird, isn't it.

Switching to a completely different subject, I had my final!oral maths exam yesterday. I managed a cool 10 of 15 points total, even though I thought I was more around 12 or 13. Sigh. I get my other results on June 10th, so until then, I will do absolutely nothing. ♥

Girara, or: What The Freaking Hell

Have a Kazuki-centered recap. :D I liked his hair in this. I had to concentrate on his hair because the G8 scenes made me cry.

Okay, so Sanpei (Kazuki), a photographer, and Sumire (uh. What's the lady's name?) investigate a mountain village because this little kid (Shinichi, I think?)

made Sumire think the villagers had some way to combat Girara, who just decided to stop by from outer space in a swirl of horrendous miniature usage.
The village elder shows the two some *~ancient roll of paper~* depicting Girara's fight against Takemajin, their super duper cool protector dude. Sanpei and Sumire are amazed.

They join the villagers in their hilarious ritual dance.

Kazuki copies the hilarity especially well. Look at him; he's like a brilliant angel in his shiny white shirt.
They wait excitedly for their savior to emerge form the holy shrine...

<strike>The hills are alive--</strike>

Maybe he thought it was a Tenimyu, what with all the dancing.
So then, of course, there's a truly epic showdown between Girara and Takemajin in all his glued-on-additional-armed glory.

It's a close call, but Takemajin pulls through and <strike>tops</strike> cuts off Girara's head in the end. Girara was probably just distracted by Sumire's hysteric shrieks.

Yay! The world is saved now. Sanpei and Sumire are happy.

Kazuki's secretly praying never to have to sit so close to a girl again, because come on, god, you know he gets a nasty rash.

Kazuki's acting wasn't too bad. He didn't really have that much to say, though. What's-her-name was worse.

And that was Girara. May I also add that Canadian!guy sounded Italian, British!guy was American, German!lady made me laugh so, so hard because she was all, "Yes! I am acting!", and French!guy was picked because he looks a tiny, tiny bit like Sarkozy and was dubbed extremely badly. He had a fling with one of the simultaneous translator girls and her French was wtf I don't understand a word. Oh, Japan. ♥

every time you leave the fridge open, al gore cries

I think I'm getting into a steady one-post-a-month rhythm here. 8D So, let's see, what wonderful things are there to report? ♥

A. NO MORE SCHOOL. Ever. ♥ Friday was my last day of school, and as is usual for 13th graders (the thirteen-year school system is being ousted as I type >_<) over here, we went out with a blast, starting by absolutely drenching all the little kids between classes and ending by giving everyone a bang-up farewell show in the auditorium. I had a few teachers come on stage for a wonderful karaoke session. ♥
So now all that's left are my three written exams (English, French, History in French) and one oral (math). I really don't feel like studying. xD
The week leading up to our last day was fun, too - every day we all got dressed up according to a different theme, and Tuesday was by far my favorite: emo day. And of course emo day called for emo photos. :D

I tested my makeup a few days before. |D

Oh, emoism.

Me and my friend K. My right hand had "love" written on it, my left had "death." lulz. All in all, a very successful day. I was even stared at on the bus. ♥ I also tried my hand at some emo poems, because we were watching a crappy movie in class. xD

I watched tons of "how to do emo makeup/hair" videos on YouTube. One girl was all, "Yeah, so, um, these are like my makeup tips, I buy all my makeup at [???], so if you like go to cheaper places you can stop watching right now, lol... oh shit, I didn't do my hair for this video," and then she mussed around her hair for about five minutes. It also looked like she had vertically cut her lips. o_O I wondered if she was going more for Loki or the mouth of Sauron.

B. While I'm on the emo topic - I watched Twilight on Saturday. I lol'd my way through and was fairly disappointed even though I didn't have very high expectations - I was actually hoping Kristen Stewart would be, you know, a capable actress. But I was impressed by rpattz' successful accent. Otherwise, nobody seemed able to enunciate properly. My favorite part of the whole thing was this little scene:

Billy: ... also, Jacob was getting annoying about seeing Bella again.
Jacob: Oh thanks, Dad.
Billy: Just keepin' it real, son.

I don't know why, but it cracked me up. XD And the sparkles looked like cheap glitter powder. *sighs* So sad, so sad.

C. I'd like to wish a happy belated birthday to everyone who turned a year older this last month: Happy Birthday to ensein, shinobee, tokyocentricity, doumyoujitsukas and miraizu. ♥ And to myself. XD I got a phone! It's so pretty. :DDD

I think I'll go photoshop the hell out of one of my many emo photos. It's so much fun. 8D

Our central heating went out on Tuesday. The cellar got flooded because of snow melting + rain and short-circuited the electricity when the water level reached the heating furnace. Flipping switches to get lights etc. back was easy, but we were freezing for two days before we got off our lazy bums to light a fire in the stove in the kitchen. And of course all this had to happen when only me and my sister were around. We've both decided we'll move into super-modern houses. 8D My parents got back from their one-week vacation yesterday, so they'll have a look at the situation. Until then, we're all hanging out in the kitchen. 8D It's about 10 degrees in my room right now. (That's celsius. 8D)
We didn't have much to do otherwise, so we watched the entire first season of 30 Rock in three days and it's hilarious. ♥

re: hyouteimyu (4A/gaisen kouen), ova 25/26, and general spazzing

Hello world! :D While I haven't been posting because I'm absolutely lazy, I have by no means missed any of the jewels fandom has brought these past weeks. ♥ Allow me to elaborate:

Kubota is really starting to grow on me. I like how his Atobe is a bit... well, tougher than Kazuki's. He sits on the bench in a douche-y way whereas Kazuki was always prim and proper <strike>and really gay</strike> with crossed legs. And that Atobe wig is extremely unflattering on Kubota. He looks so much better with his own hair. 8D His singing could be worse (hey, this is Tenimyu), but obviously he can't ever live up to Kazuki on that one, so that's okay. xD The way he does the "ahn~" thing sounds like he's constipated, though.
Still. I kind of like him.
But that didn't stop me from squeeing excessively when the Gaisen Kouen CD came around. Now, I usually like Kazuki as Atobe because he's Kazuki and not because of his aw3som3 ackting skillz, but his version of Koori no Sekai gave me total ~Atobe~ vibes for (I'm ashamed to admit it) the very first time. You have to squint, but there is some character development between Kantou!Atobe and Nationals!Atobe. It's like he's not as much of an asshole because he's so extremely self-centered, but more of an asshole in the name of his whole team instead. That's one thing I thought Koori no Sekai (and the myu in general) portrayed nicely. :3
Look at me. I'm analyzing Tenimyu. Lol.

My copy of The Epic Tenimyu Photobook got here mid-January and it's SPARKLY and SHINY and PRETTY. And there's so much Takuya in it! He's so cute. ♥ My sister and I turned the behind-the-scenes shots into Takuya's epic quest for mayonnaise. Seriously, what Hyoutei are feeding each other? That wasn't pudding, it was mayonnaise. That's why Takuya looked so ecstatic. They all had wonderful cracky tees! xD Apart from their official color-coordinated Hyouteimyu tees, I loved Watanabe's ~*yudan sezu ni ikou!*~ shirt. It was very elegant. x3

OVA 25/26. Epic. Wonderful. Cracky. Dramatic. New background music to match Yukimura's utter freakishness. Seriously, what I appreciate these episodes the most for is that we see a lot of freak!Yukimura. It makes him completely awesome. I also like the Yukimura-Sanada dynamics shown. WHO'S THE BOSS, GIRLS. YUKIMURA'S IN DA HOUSE, BITCHES. Yo.
I haven't quite gotten over Ryoma's amnesia yet (THE PAIN, OH HALP), but Yukimura's nasty forced all-round yips helped distract me by half freaking me out and half cracking me up. Oh, Tenipuri. ♥
The animation in the OVAs is so pretty. I like how they finally got everybody's hair right (*cough*Atobe*cough*) and made everyone prettier. 8D They also gave Sanada some nice fuzzy caterpillar eyebrows. And a neck that's double as thick as anyone else's. Oh, Sanada, you're forty years old and you don't even know it.
Of course they had to leave it till the end to drop the Samurai-bomb on everyone. I'd completely forgotten that nobody knew who Ryoma's father was. Speaking of the S-word: Samurai drive. What the hell. Ryoma halved the ball. YUKIMURA FREAKIN' RETURNED BOTH HALVES.
Kirihara is such a cutie. ♥ Ryoma being all dorky at the end is, too. Inui stalking everyone is delicious. Kaidoh is delicious.
And I couldn't help noticing: Aren't Horio, Kachiro and Katsuo wearing the wrong color at the end? Didn't their year have red tracksuits? Shouldn't the third-year non-regulars be wearing blue now and the new ichinen be in green-trimmed t-shirts? Oh, so many questions and just one answer: Kaidoh is the new captain. ♥ Of course he had to wear a dashing new red bandanna for the occasion.
Also: you're disturbing our procradagee tennis, kid. That's such a long word, we usually say 'pro' instead. Guess why.

I really love Tenimyu, but the anime is more Tenipuri-authentic, naturally. The seiyuu are a big part of what makes it Tenipuri. :3 Yukimura's getting an album~ *does happy dance*

I got Kazuki's 2009 calendar for Christmas (as I'm sure I've mentioned to at least one person before ;D) and as drool-inducing as the cover is, that silver hair gets old really fast. I don't like the "ooh look at me I'm so hardcore" image he's gotten into with avex/ponycanyon. I preferred the more mellow, slightly grunge-y looking MMV Kazuki (lookin' at you, Face). :(

That would be all. ♥
Changin' my layout back. 8D

New Layout <3

I tried fiddling around a bit to (pseudo) make my own layout. It's not quite there yet, but since I wanted a nice, shiny Kazuki pic at the top it'll just have to do. 8D

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!1!1! :D By the way of nothing, I really want to buy a nutcracker and repaint it to look like Sanada. That would be fairly awesome. Maybe even make it a little wooden cap to wear instead of those huge red hats. ♥

太郎？あっ、オレ慈郎！

The first five (negotiable) people to comment in this post get to request a sketch or a drabble of a character (etc.) of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their drawing/writing ability level. If you absolutely can't draw or write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer icons or something instead.

Request away! :D I'm not really great at icons, but if anyone wants some anyways, go ahead. xD

Also, on Hyouteimyu, which I finally got around to watching:
· WET. WET OISHI. WET OISHI IN THE RAIN. Wet Toyoda in the rain. :3
· Takuya spazzing like the little spaz he is. <3 Seriously, I love him <strike>and his mayonnaise</strike> so much.
· Watanabe is the most wonderful angsty, heartfelt Tezuka in the world.
· Wasshi didn't get to sing! :( He never gets to sing. *cries*
· It wouldn't have been so painful to watch Kubota if I hadn't seen Kazuki!Saitou!Hyoutenka no Jounetsu before. The guy has a freaky nose. I like his hands, though.
· There wasn't anything in the myu except for the matches! I was counting on some in-between funny scenes and stuff. AND asfsdjgflas;sdfkg the ONE myu where there would've been the possibility of having just a TEENSY bit of Tango action gives [insert random Higa person] a tiny line about Atobe visiting Rikkai and that's IT. Don't get me wrong, I like Higa. I'm just as hypnotized by Luke's hips as everyone else. It was even kind of important to the story line! T_T
· Synchro was the best freaking part of the whole myu. Ueshima really likes to work in those Golden Pair vibes. ♥
· Fuji dancin' in the rain - Fufu was in his element. 8D
I'm reeeaaaally looking forward to watching Kazuki in this myu. asdjaksfL I love him so much. ♥ ♥ I've checked on amazon, cdjapan and yesasia, but none of them have the Tokyo Gaisen Kouen ver. DVD. Can anyone tell me where/how to order it? :O

Yiz. *sparkles* Bring on the concrit! 8D

Teddy Bears (~400 words; G; Atobe, Sanada)

"Don't you ever get lost in here? I mean, how do you find your way around in such a huge house?" Sanada asks on a wet and murky afternoon.

Atobe raises an eyebrow. "You do realize I've been living here all my life. One tends to remember which rooms are where after a while." He tosses August's edition of Weekly Pro Tennis onto the floor and picks up October's.

Sanada returns to his mathematics homework. He can't suppress a smile at a thought that crosses his mind. "I'm getting pictures of a four-year-old you wandering the halls, lost, with a teddy bear under your arm. And a snotty nose."

Atobe fights a grin. "Please. I made sure to memorize the blueprints once I could read, which was at a very early age, I'll have you know."

"Blueprints? Your parents gave a toddler blueprints? Weren't they afraid you'd drool on them or something?" Sanada nearly snickers. Nearly.

Atobe ignores the added comment. "Well, they technically gave them to me. They were in my father's safe, and nobody ever made a move to stop me when I went into his study, so yes, 'gave' would be an appropriate word to employ."

"Okay." Sanada returns to his Pythagorean triangle.

"And it wasn't a giraffe," Atobe says.

Sanada looks up again. "Excuse me?"

"I had a stuffed giraffe, not a bear."

Sanada shrugs. "Basically the same thing, isn't it?"

Atobe bristles. "I beg to differ! Giraffes are much more sophisticated than commonplace teddy bears."
He says the words teddy bears like they're a piece of gum stuck to the sole of his shoe.

"I had a bear," Sanada admits.

"See? That just serves my point." Atobe sounds smug.

"Not a teddy bear. It was a black bear."

"Hmm. Very intimidating."

"It was from Germany."

Atobe perks up. "Oh, have you been?"

"No. My aunt brought it for me when she visited a friend once."

"It being German makes a huge difference, of course."

"Of course. Then my brother put it in the dishwasher." Sanada remembers it like it was yesterday.

"How long did you go without talking to him?"

"About a week, I think."

Atobe gives a low whistle. "Takes some determination for a young child."

"That's always been one of my strong points," Sanada answers absent-mindedly, figuring out the size of a particularly persistent hypotenuse.

Atobe laughs so hard he cries.

***

Insight (~500 words; G; Atobe, Sanada [Tezuka & Rikkai mentioned])

"Cheesy? I'm not cheesy. I'm efficient."

"If you were efficient, you wouldn't make such a show out of your techniques."

"Look who's talking."

"I'm not denying I'm flashy. I have a healthy ego that needs feeding, not some in-between thing like your wishy-washy 'awareness of your own abilities'." Atobe puts his feet up on the heater. "My Koori no Sekai could find every flaw in your play in seconds. Not that I would even need it to beat you." He smiles. "How about a game right now?"

Sanada shifts a little. "It's snowing."

"Tezuka didn't let himself be stopped by masses of rain. Don't tell me you're scared off by a few flakes." He sighs. "I overestimated you."

Sanada frowns. "I know what you're trying to do."

"Good, isn't it? It's working. I can tell. I can see the cogs turning in your mind right this second."

"It's freezing outside. We'll both catch colds. And you can't see through my skull, no matter how hard you try."

"I see all."

"That's stupid."

"It's genius."

Sanada sighs (or rather, exhales a little louder than usual) and decides to go with Atobe for once. "Alright, then. What am I thinking right now?"

"That's easy. You're thinking about how my tennis really is far superior to yours, and you're scared of playing me because of it."

"Right." Shouldn't have let him get this far, Sanada thinks.

"You're also remembering that time your brother threw a snowball at the back of your head when you were eight." Atobe squints. "It had a stone in it. You were bedridden for a week."

Sanada blinks. He doesn't recall if he's actually told Atobe about that particular incident or not.

"You're also a little hungry, but you had lunch a few hours ago, so it's not worth mentioning." Atobe grins at him. "Am I freaking you out yet?"

Sanada rolls his eyes. "I told you about my lunch today."

"Yagyuu nearly lost a match against Kirihara when helping out the new Regulars' training," Atobe continues.

Sanada nods. He was there that day. Akaya was in very good shape.

"You're actually very proud of him, but of course you're too uptight to give him proper praise."

Sanada's cheeks take on a light pink tinge. If he weren't so preoccupied with trying to figure out how Atobe knows all this, he'd find the other boy's glee at spouting his thoughts strangely cute. As it is, Atobe thinks a blushing, confused Sanada is nothing short of adorable and contemplates doing this every time they meet.
"You nearly walked in on Yukimura and Yanagi kissing in the clubhouse. Kuwahara stopped you just when you were about to turn the doorknob. Niou was laughing his head off at you."

Sanada is all but gaping at him open-mouthed now.

Atobe smirks. "Oh, and of course you're marveling at how devilishly attractive and irresistible I am."

Sanada throws a sofa cushion at him.

***

Doubles (~650 words, G, Atobe + Sanada [Senbatsu team mentioned])

They stand side by side behind the other players of their makeshift team; Sanada with a towel around his neck, Atobe holding a cold drink.
You'd think their style would be to treat their victory as something imperfect (doubles, Atobe usually thinks, rolling his eyes), but they both can't help feeling somewhat elated. Sanada even attempts a kind of smile when their eyes meet, but all he manages is an expression that looks like a cross between relief and the urge to find the nearest toilet as quickly as possible. Atobe seems to get the message, though, because he gives a quiet chuckle and offers Sanada his energy drink.
Sanada says thank you, but he's got his own in his bag, and Atobe says alright, and they just kind of half-look at each other for a bit.

On the court, Kikumaru is freaking out at the opposing player seemingly trying to bash his brother's brains out with his serve.
Atobe monitors Oshitari's behavior. He seems a little antsy; perfectly understandable if you have an anxious, hyperactive acrobat on your side of the net and two ESP freaks on the other, Atobe thinks. Weirdos.
Sanada's gone, he notices, and turns around to see the Rikkai player walking toward the locker rooms, no doubt to get his water bottle. He doesn't return his attention to the game until Sanada's standing next to him again.
Fuji and Echizen - unbelievably-bratty-yet-insanely-talented Echizen - are quietly assessing Kikumaru's playing standard. Sengoku looks like he's explaining something to a wide-eyed Kirihara.
Sanada asks if he's missed anything good. Atobe says no, as if, not after their awe-inspiring game.
Sanada really does smile this time, before taking a swig from his bottle, crackling the plastic; and at exactly that moment it hits Atobe that he's managed to develop a huge crush on Sanada since their training camp started.
Sanada asks him if something is wrong, and Atobe notices he's been staring and must be absolutely flaming red in the face. He says that no, uh, he needs to go cool off a little. On his way outside he tries and fails to remember the last time he used the word 'uh'.
Sanada catches up to him a few moments later and Atobe is happily excited and relaxed and tense and mortified at the same time.
They walk around aimlessly in silence. It's a nice silence, somehow, Atobe notices; not one where you feel like you have to find something to say or else your nerves will snap from the tension. He wonders if he should ask Sanada to play doubles with him again some time. Preferably some time soon. Because they really could learn from each other, and it would probably increase their sensitivity to other people on the court (and thus maybe even have influence on their social life) and things like that. And they must be somehow… compatible… if they managed to beat a more or less experienced pair on their first try.
Atobe is so deep in thought that he twitches in surprise when he feels Sanada take his hand. It's a little clumsy, but certainly not enough to be mistaken with a handshake or anything like that. He glances sideways - Sanada is stubbornly looking at anything but him, and his cheeks look about as red as Atobe's own must be. He doesn't trust himself to say anything just yet, though. Sanada shoves his other hand in his trouser pocket and almost trips over a rock.
When Atobe is fairly certain he won't completely jumble up the words, he asks, "So, do you want to have another go at doubles?" Once they're out, he's appalled at himself for sounding so idiotic. It must show on his face, because Sanada grins a little.
"I'd like that," he says.

***

Also, I made third place in the Japanese competition! I'm €500 richer! *throws confetti* The stupid part? I just found out that if I had registered it as a besondere Lernleistung (uh, a special additional achievement kind of thing) at school, it could have influenced my *~ultra special final exam grade~*. Of course nobody felt the need to inform me of this. *gnashes teeth* I hate my school's organizational talents sometimes. T_T

And NOBODY RECOGNIZED IT. Arrrr. D< They were all, "Oh, is that some peace movement flag?" and I was all "WAHT ITS OBAMA, MAN!!!1!1!1one!!" Only my English teacher knew what it was without asking, lol. But it was fun to be all REPRESENT YO. :D Not a bad feeling to be able to be proud of my heritage again. ♥

Moving on: Hyouteimyu. Can I just say that I really like Watanabe and really don't like Kubota? |D I watched the Kazuki!Saitou!version of Hyoutenka no Jounetsu and I can't waiiiiit to see "their" version of the Myu. *biased* xD DOCCHI DA? YOMENAI!! Wow, that bit's been in my head for HOURS.

And finally: I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for the Japanese competition. Damn you, nerves! >.< I just hope the people there are nice. :D; Read: Aaaah. HALP.

My Love, My Dearest Love

And here I thought I'd keep up with LJ more in my holidays. *sigh* I've turned into a complete lurker. A lurker extraordinaire. The queen of lurkers. I'm probably praising myself too much with that. 8D

I've noticed the last few days that akfhadfkhj I'M TOTALLY NERVOUS ABOUT THIS LANGUAGE COMPETITION THING. Shitshitshit it's in November and I already booked my train ride and it'll take like seven hours and that's LONG and the people even sent me five million city maps of the place and it's in ONE FREAKING MONTH and if I don't pick up a LOT on my Japanese (have been failing to do anything since August D<) I reaaaaaaally will make last place. I checked out their website when I started to get into this and last year's 1st and 2nd places were two people from the same school in (lol) Schnepfenthal. ('Schnepfe' is colloquial for prostitute. I LOL'D) AND THIS YEAR PEOPLE FROM THE SAME PLACE ARE ENTERING AGAIN AND THEY'RE BOTH LIKE AT LEAST FIVE YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO GET MY ASS WIPED BY A SEVENTH-GRADER. Beware the Schnepfenthalers, my sister said. XD

I feel too much on crack right now to be coherent so here you go:
• Niou is hot. Niou is cool. Niou is smart. Niou has totally fallen for Yagyuu. NIOU IS EATING MY BRAIN RIGHT NOW, MKAY. I don't really know why. Strange, that. ♥
• I love Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. I hate Sarah Palin. My father hates Sarah Palin with a passion that is extremely entertaining. I wish people wouldn't tell Obama to get more aggressive next debate because it really isn't his style and it would be nice if he didn't have to resort to passive-aggressively insulting McCain to win. :O If my parents were from Pennsylvania or Rhode Island or one of a few other states, I could register as an out-of-country (not having ever lived there) voter. Sadly, they're from California, so no go. :(
• My mom is knitting me a scarf (I think it's for me). My mom got me a bathrobe. My mom always asks us if we want anything from the newest Land's End catalog. How can I convince my mom that her fashion "sense" ≠ mine?
• I'M REALLY BORED. I'm even too bored to play WoW.
• Some friends are dragging me to some club tomorrow night. I seriously have no idea what to wear and am not really looking forward to it too much.
• It's 11:55. I'm trying to pass the time until it's tomorrow so I can make this into a spammy Happy Birthday Atobe!post.
• Lalalala. 11:56.
• I should catch up on Vampire Knight. I should draw more. I should write more. It's fun.
• Why is Atobe always so femmy in fics? I want a manly!Atobe fic. Preferably including Sanada. They can have a manliness-off. >D
• Look, it's Sanada: D>-( The D is his cap. He doesn't have eyes.
• 11:58.
• What I want for Christmas: Hyouteimyu DVD. The one with Kazuki and Saitou.
• WTF SHITENHOUJIMYU IN DECEMBER. I really hope it isn't 5th cast. I don't even know all of 4th cast's names yet. I wish to stay in denial of the industry-ness of Tenimyu for a bit longer. 8D
12:00! Yessss.

Happy Birthday, Atobe! ♥

Click to enlarge. ♥ That looks like chest hair, dunnit? Lol.

Seriously, everyone, answer me this: Where would we be without Atobe? I ♥ him so much. :)

BYE NOW. :)

Yes! Yes! I knew it!

So I was, once again, drooling over the fancy new Myu site when my sister came into the room. I showed her a picture of Hirata and we agreed that he's pretty much the hottest-looking Kaidoh so far. And then she saw Furukawa and said, "Hey, he looks a little like Paris Hilton."

I really was thinking he reminded me of someone, but I could never come up with who. That seriously made my week. |D

When the days become but the years to go~

I should be studying for my four-hour French exam tomorrow, because I haven't done jack shit for it yet and it's already 8:30. But how can I if there are things like this or this or this or the new Daily Show & Colbert to watch? Damn you, wonderful things. You're keeping me from doing work. 8D

I bought a new shirt today. It's brown and it has an eagle on it. ♥

I want an Obama shirt. Or a button. Or something. Something like this or this or this. I love Zazzle. ♥

I also want the DVD of October's Kazuki!Saitou!Hyouteimyu. ♥ ♥ ♥ When are they out? I could get someone to give it to me for Christmas... :DDD

Obligatory Yet Happily Supplied DL5 Spazzing Post

I think that was the sparkliest, crackiest, funniest, most amazing thing I've seen in my life. It blew my brains out.

But first!

I bought a fancy new pen yesterday.

It's actually a 4GB USB stick! :3 I showed it around today and everyone was impressed. 8D *is shallow* I've wanted to get a USB stick AND a fancy pen for some time now. I love it already. ♥ And because I give all my electronic devices names, I shall call it Mr. Nakagauchi, to go with Baba, my iPod. ♥

Oh, Tenimyu. What would I be without you. ♥ ♥

Soooo.
I don't know where to start. I regret having watched it a lot later than I could have, but as I mentioned previously, WoW is kind of eating my time. I should really do something about that, seeing as I'm back in school 'n all. 8D
ANYWAYS. On Sunday I downloaded it, carted it over to my old, decrepit PC to put together (damn you, HJsplit! *shakes fist*) and sadly couldn't transfer it back to my Mac because I was using my sister's 1GB sticky, which didn't *quite* hold it. A situation which has been remedied. ♥ So I watched it (with my sister) with tinny USB speakers on the PC. AND IT STILL KILLED ME.
No Myu in history has ever rendered me so incoherent. Really. Not even DL3, and that's saying something. o_O My personal favorite bits were these (watch as my coherence dwindles):

<strike>• Every single damn second of it</strike>
• Dai-chan flying - I really hope he got paid more for that or something! Seriously, 30 feet high and one measly strap to hold him in? O_O
• Yes, I have! No, I haven't!
• Yagami BITING HIS LIP WHILE REACHING FOR KANE-CHAN
• LUKE IN THE PURPLE HAMMOCK wearing chucks/converse/all stars/whatever you prefer to call them
• Renn doing the "FAIYAAA! Eeeexcellent~" for Jutta <3
• Rainbow lights at their absolute gayest
• THEY HAD FREAKIN' FLAMES! Like, in Aoku Moeru Honoo and was it Fuurinkazan?
• Everyone and his brother getting to stylishly sashay down the catwalk
• IREI GOT A SOLO
• IREI SOUNDED LIKE KERMIT
• Kane-chan stretching
• Finally more of Hirata! HOTTTTT.
• Had I mentioned I love Shougo?
• THE PIRATES sahaksfdkjshd HAYASHINO I LOVE YOU. HIJIRI YOU ARE SO CUTE. LUKE YOU ARE ASFASDHADFGHADFHADFHDFAHDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
• THE PIMPS. Seriously. That was my absolute favorite. So amazing. The hats. The boa. The scarves. The necklaces. The jackets. THE GLASSES. Is it just me or do orange-tinted glasses look great with Niou's hair color?
Also, their dance was REALLY COOL. Like, DL3-Ruirui-Takuya-dance-like cool. One of the coolest dances I've seen in Tenimyu.
What are other really cool Tenimyu dances? I mean, not dorky, but just really WOW?
• The Regulars, Aoku Moeru Honoo, Ore wa Mamushi, Juuden Kanryou, Golden Pair... did I miss anything? The Myu!oldies, anyways.
• TOMO ROCKING THAT MAMUSHI DANCE.
• TOMO STARTING TO CRY AND THE FIVE-MINUTE CLOSE UP OF HIS FACE safhjdsgfasjhgf
• TOMO
• The 20s feathered headbands and matching bows - Renn's was gold! 8D
• Sorry Saitou, you still can't dance
• MAMO
• I think Juri's hair was five times bigger than in YamabukiMyu
• ERIITO JA NAI!
• SHOUGOOOO
• FURUKAWAAAAA
• Those flowers were EATING UP their chests
• The opening dance
• Matsuzaki's shark
• we r pastede on!Higa
• HIGA
• SANAYUKI LOVE (it's in the Myus. It's undeniably in the Myus.)
• GENKI. GENKI DOING ANYTHING.
• Ogasawara's handful of glitter
• Ogasawara's marriage proposal (+glitter) to Furukawa
• Yagami's way of wearing his jacket so it makes it look like he has no arms. Consequently, his last line in Kimi o Shinjiteru has been changed from dakara ore wa~ iku yo~ to but life's okay~ without my arms~ by me and my sister.

And much, much more.
I want one of Higa's pirate flags to hang over my bed.
I want Baba and Masa to have more let's-grab-each-other dances.

All in all, ♥ ♥ ♥, so I suppose it's a mission accomplished for Ueshima & friends. :DDD

You Got Snuff On Your Plums!

Thanks to not-so-endless nagging and a lucky coincidence of temporary idealess-ness, my wonderful sister omelton wrote a little Tango Pair ficlet for me. ♥ Inspired by Bill Bailey, I gave her the prompt "off-shore wind farms".

So, without further ado, I present to you Off-shore Wind Farms (G).

The summer has been long and stifling, but not long enough for his tastes. Soon he must trade in his few leisure hours between practice and private exam prep for the stricter regimen of the autumn semester, and though it is his creed to make everything look effortless, he knows it will be hard work. Hard balancing the required academic excellence with his passion for tennis, hard representing his family socially when his parents again leave the country on short notice, hard to find time to breathe away from the knotwork of duties and obligations he has been raised into.
The sole heir to the Atobe fortune sits on a slab of rock festooned with carbuncles, his feet trailing in the sand, his hand resting on a slightly larger palm than his own. He glances aside to see his companion looking dourly at the horizon, straight black hair blown in and out of his eyes as the wind sees fit.
“An hour until sundown,” Atobe says, locating the sun, pendulous and orange to the west. Sanada brushes his hair back with one hand, the other tightens its grip on Atobe’s. His gaze is still fixed far ahead, past the dotting of tiny pale sails, on the wheeling shapes that hang high above the bay.
“I want to see you in the autumn,” he says, his voice quiet and clear, and Atobe wishes he would turn his head, not sit like a hewn statue with his hair the only unsettled thing.
“I will arrange a time.” Atobe’s thoughts briefly touch on afternoons away on a pretense of club matters, weekends in town avoiding business luncheons. He doesn’t trust any of the family drivers; he will have to consider other transportation.
“I want to see you often.” Sanada is looking at him now, his eyes far too earnest and fragile. Atobe closes the space between them, blocks out this mirror of Sanada’s vulnerability in a close press of lips.
The heat is broken by a bitter breeze slewing in from the sea.

Gah. *melts* ♥
omelton usually writes The Daily Show/The Colbert Report RPS, so if anyone feels like checking out more of her stuff, it can be found at fakenews_fanart, fakenews_fanfic or her journal. :3 *pimps*

That's Igor Stravinsky And A Ham Sandwich!

You know, Tenipuri eats my brain, heart and soul, but WoW has a nagging tendency to eat my life. :/ I haven't checked my mail since Saturday. WTFFF.

This is Anita, my level almost!30 blood elf rogue. :> I've made a few other characters, but I play her most.

But enough of this! I shall get to the point: DL5 soundtrack. ♥ Oretachi no Aikotoba made me melt, especially the part in harmony near the end. ♥ ♥ ♥ It's great that they revisited "old" songs from First Cast times. ♥ Makes me notice, though, that now!Tenimyu seems like a completely different thing than then!Tenimyu. Am I alone on this?

And I really, really, reeaally like Shougo as Ryoma. He really has the bitchy-little-snob thing DOWN. Also, Watanabe is so into whatever it is he's doing. He is quite possibly my favorite Tez so far. ♥ Shirota will always have a special place in my heart, but I didn't really get a Tezuka impression from him. Or his hair, for that matter. *is shot 8D*
I can't wait for his and Luke's (have I mentioned how much I love Luke? No?? Well, let it be known. ♥) CDs. Or for the DL5 DVD. Or for Hyouteimyu, because I'm all giddy now after having read tayles' report. (All I've seen of Kubota was his little PV, and I'm still wary. But I know already that I won't like Inoue.)

Annnd I guess that's all. How are you all doing? I fail for not commenting moar on things! Sorry. :(
