Dear short but very special ♥ f'list...

Instructions are as follows:
Take one short scene/dialogue from a Tenipuri episode and re-write/interpret it to correspond to your OTP.

Okay. So Mizuki has just finished being very, very creepy and Atobe and Yuushi are sitting in the bus about to go back to Hyoutei after their time in the Jr. Senbatsu camp... (I swear I did not change one word of this dialogue.)

Yuushi: Many things happened, but overall this camp was somewhat useful.
Atobe: Well, I'm not satisfied... I wasn't able to settle things with Rikkaidai Fuzoku's Sanada. *stares longingly out the window*
Yuushi: You'll probably have other chances to do that. More importantly, if you don't concentrate on the match in front of you, you'll lose your chance of winning.
Atobe: Yeah, I know... Probably Tezuka thought about that and... *stares absent-mindedly out the window some more*
[Me: *kind of wonders if Atobe's actually staring out the window or, incidentally, at his own reflection*]
Yuushi: Huh? What are you talking about?
Atobe: Ah... it's nothing. There's no need for me to rush to devour my delicious prey. (He actually uses the word 'umai' in this sentence.)

Need I say more? Dude, Atobe is so daydreaming about Sanada. Never mind that mention of Tez, he gets so lost in thought about Sanada that he doesn't care...
Meanwhile, Yuushi is trying to keep him from running off to Sanada in order to... settle things with him; as he puts it; by telling him, Dude, like, concentrate on the match? Because otherwise he would, like, totally lose interest in you and you won't have any more chances with him, girl.
And then they go out to drink coffee together and badmouth everyone and their cousin until they get to Rikkai and then Atobe's depressed again and Yuushi has to treat him to a piece of cake and listen to endless rants about Sanada that, in turn, end in depressed/frustrated sighs and all that even though he actually wanted to go on a date with Gakuto today, but oh well, Atobe needs help and that's okay because Gakuto still has some studying to do, and after all, what are friends for?
That's my impression of the Atobe-Oshitari friendship in a nutshell. |D (So no OshiAto in this scene.)

But ah, I digress.

Atobe isn't happy, as he says, with how things went with Sanada in the... two weeks? However long they were in camp. It's very understandable; every conversation they had kept getting back to the topic of Tezuka, Tezuka, and Tezuka again. Now, I know they're both mildly obsessed with him, or more like Atobe is and Sanada just wants to top win against everyone to be the ultimate No. 1, but I do really think it's possible that that obsession doesn't extend any further than tennis. (So I'll just take the liberty of ruling out AtoTezu here. *is shot by AtoTezu fans*)
It's more like, we know they've known each other for at least a year since the last Senbatsu, and now that they've both worked their way up so far, they start noticing each other.
Sanada and Atobe have as many differences as similarities, a fact which, I believe, is one of the more important things that keeps would keep their relationship going. That and they're good enough for each other, both being similarly good-looking, talented, and intelligent. (Well, okay, so Atobe is more eloquent. But Atobe > The World, so that's okay.)

Anyway, then Atobe happens to look over to the Seigaku bus where Ryoma is busy sleeping, but I don't think that's very important, as Atobe hasn't wasted a single word on him yet and, as far as we know by that point, Ryoma isn't even on the Senbatsu team. And that rules out Atobe/Ryoma, and since there isn't anyone else mentioned in this scene and every scene in Tenipuri must be slashy, that leaves us with Sanada/Atobe. :D Or at the very least Atobe -> Sanada. Annnnd Yukimura isn't there anyways, so hey. They could have so hit it off in Senbatsu, and that's only the first part of the Wonderful Canon Tango Episodes.

Also the important fact that Atobe happens to look mildly gorgeous while staring out the window like that. (Actually, ore-sama.net has a very nice screencap of it in their section.) Okay, so that doesn't really have much to do with the matter at hand, but hey, see above? Atobe > The World. I bet he's just trying to look his smexiest in case Sanada happens to look his way somehow. ♥

That, and Yuushi misses Gakuto. :(

Anyway, I had so forgotten about this episode, even though I swear there isn't a single one I haven't seen at least twice; and it happens to be the same episode where everyone from Ryuuzaki's group is waiting to eat, but Kamio and Lucky haven't shown up yet, and they're all like, LOL what are those two doing and why are they taking so long?? And then Inoue shows up and pervs on all of them, so yeah.
